What to Expect
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR BIG DAY
We are so excited you have chosen Elopements of Nashville & Rich Events to be a part of your big day!
Below, you will find important information we have put together not only for you, but for you to share with your guests/family that may be attending.
This information will help you prepare and get the most out of your package on your big day!
ARRIVE ON TIME
Don't enter early
Please, make sure you and any guests know they need to arrive on time. Arriving early and waiting in the parking lot is ideal, that way everyone can come in at the start time. Entering the venue early is not permitted as we have multiple elopements daily and entering early will likely interrupt another couples ceremony.
Have your Marriage license paperwork with you
Make sure you have your marriage license paperwork in hand and ready for Rev. Rich. He will need this in order to legally marry you.
All of our packages include professional photography, personal
photography during the ceremony is not permitted, so as to ensure the couple gets the best possible photos! (No cell phones sticking up in pictures, flashes ruining their photos etc.)
Professional Video can be added to any package, however, those wishing to do a live video or other may do so from one cell phone. We supply a stand and have it placed for you to record from a location that won't intrude on the professional photos.
Just as its' important you and any guests don't enter early, it's equally important you exit when your time has concluded. We are able to offer these amazing elopements in short time frames, for affordable prices because we have multiples a day. Please, be respectful of the timeframe so the next couple has just as amazing of an experience as you did.

WHAT DOES A 60 MINUTE ELOPEMENT LOOK LIKE?
Couple + any guests enter the chapel together, dressed and ready, at the start time. They hand their Tennessee Marriage License paperwork to Rev. Rich and rings and bouquet to photographers. Rev. Rich verifies names with the couple while the photographers photograph the rings and bouquet before placing them on the alter for the ceremony.
Rev. Rich + the groom take their place at the altar and the bride enters. (Bride may be escorted if she chooses.) All guests take a seat. The ceremony generally lasts between 5-7 minutes. The photographer captures the ceremony.
Following the ceremony the couple + guests will step into the room next door while the chapel is reset. Photographers will call the couple back in for formal pictures with their guests inside the chapel and finish with pictures of just the couple outside, weather permitting.
WHAT NOT TO EXPECT WITH A 60 MINUTE ELOPEMENT?
or changing clothes
Due to the super condensed amount of time, first looks or separate entrance times aren’t a part of elopements. Our couples must arrive and depart in the same attire. We have a very specific routine that allows us to give our couples an amazing experience in a short period of time. It is helpful to let any friends and family that will be attending, know this in advance.
EXTRA TIME FOR PHOTOS
When you book your package, it includes access to the venue/grounds for that exact amount of time. Arriving early or staying late to take more photos is not permitted. We also have multiple back to back elopements a day, so it is important our clients arrive on time and leave on time.
This package allows for 12 seated guests. Additional guests are not permitted.
Music takes a good amount of coordination that can eat up a lot of time in a small package.
Bridesmaids, groomsmen, and other bridal party are an element of traditional weddings that elopements don't have. It also takes a considerable amount of time to coordinate.
While the bride is able to walk down the aisle (escorted if she chooses) this package does not allow for any other person/persons processing down the aisle.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO LEGALLY BE MARRIED IN TENNESSEE?
TN MARRIAGE LICENSE
The thought of running off and getting married spontaneously may be romantic, but it can't happen if you don't do the necessary prep work. You'll need a TN Marriage License if your planning to Elope in Nashville! Even if you're not a TN resident, you still need a TN marriage license. You can actually get your license at any county clerk in Tennessee.
Since most of our couples are staying in the Nashville area we have a link to the Davidson County Clerk above.
For out of the country destination elopements, please contact the clerk for details.

floral decor upgrade
This upgrade provides a total of three silk floral arragements that were custom designed for Skinner Chapel. There is one large arrangement on the altar and two smaller arrangements by the side window. The base flowers are cream with some soft pinks and purples to compliment the colors in the stained glass windows in the chapel.
These chapel floral arrangements pair perfectly with some of our bouquet rental options!
Set of 3 Chapel Floral: $50
The two candelabras are 61 inches in height and are placed at the sides of the altar. These were selected to match the color, size and style of the chapel. Each candelabra has battery-powered pillar candles, each providing a flickering light that add a touch of warmth and elegance to the chancel space during the ceremony and photos. This upgrade must be selected in advance of the wedding day to allow for set up time. This upgrade is available to all packages at the chapel.
Set of 3 Lit Candelabras: $50
